Each of our sponsored riders and ambassadors this year were asked to present a “Passion Project” as part of their sponsorship. We’re bringing this to the public so that we can improve and elevate barrel races with YOUR ideas!

2025 Passion Projects

Margi Jones & Leah Hargis

Every barrel racer wants to wear a ballcap - so let’s make it count!! Margi & Leah are collaborating to bring you “Kaps 4 Kids” - the concept is simple. Pay $5 for the weekend and you can wear your hat!*** (See rules for FULL details.) We will also sell ICRP hats at the shows for this project.

See Rules: https://www.indiancreekracing.com/rules

Where does the money go?

Money raised for Kaps 4 Kids $5 donations as well as ICRP hat sales will be donated to a local foster home to support kids in need. At the end of the 10/12/2025 Retro Active Race, all monies collected with be counted and used to buy supplies for the kids.

Thank you, Margi and Leah, for this great idea to help use barrel racing for good, and help those in need. If you would like to donate directly to their cause, please email us at indiancreekracingproductions@gmail.com

Kaylee Hahn

“If we are going to do it, let’s do it right.”

6 poles, 12 turns. Simple right? Pole bending. You’ve heard of it, you’ve seen it, but have you tried it?

Kaylee is passionate about the sport of barrel racing, but you might say she’s got an even deeper love for pole bending. This class takes an extreme amount of skill - breakneck speeds, with little room for error, and 4x the number of chances to make a mistake! Bring on those core workouts guys and girls!

But there is nothing that takes your breath away like the perfect pole pattern. Rider and horse in sync, flying lead changes, impossibly tight turns - it really is something that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Kaylee and I have been brainstorming on what we could do this year to help pole bending grow - we’ve seen something of a revival of poles in our little region and we are looking forward to growing the numbers everywhere we go.

I’ve always thought one of the barriers to growing pole bending was the splits - if you don’t have a 1/2D pole horse it can be hard to break into the competitive scene. For 2025, ICRP is expanding their pole class to include a 4D - in the hopes of encouraging new people to give pole bending a try.

With Kaylee working hard to bring in sponsors and helping promote the in-house “Get Twisted” incentive - we are looking forward to meeting new friends and getting a new group of people to try out poles with us. $500 minimum will be added to each ICRP pole class for 2025, as well as yearend awards. NO membership is necessary!

Come join me and Kaylee and “Get Twisted” and give pole bending a try today!

Jacey Gray

The little cowgirl with a plan! Jacey helped inspire the ICRP Passion Projects and has so much to bring to the table.

Jacey is passionate about bringing more opportunities for our youth riders to enjoy and her first project is the 2025 Youth Buckle Blast. At our 6 (3) day shows in Festus, MO, she has obtained 36 buckles to bless our youth riders! Each day there is a youth only buckle side pot for the rider to have a chance at a buckle Saturday and Sunday at these events.

The youth specials don’t stop there! We will also be holding a youth only high stakes race at the ICRP La Viva Taco at Reflections arena.

The youth are the future, and our hope is creating these opportunities will inspire more youth attendance with ICRP and help them develop their love of barrel racings.

If you would like to donate directly to Jacey’s cause, please email us at indiancreekracingproductions@gmail.com

Kelsey Stum

Special horses don’t always come with a record.

Sometimes those horses that we start out with come from humble beginnings, but that doesn’t mean that they have any less to offer.

In fact, there are some stand-out horses in our circuit that came to their owners by chance and have built records that contend with and even surpass those with verified parentage.

They always say “you can’t ride papers” and while they may predict a horse’s aptitude in a discipline - one thing that cannot be measured is the heart and try a horse has to give.

Join Kelsey and ICRP in celebrating the often-unsung heroes of the competition world - those special horses that give us their all, day in and day out, and have taught us how to win.

No membership is required! Minimum of the top 3 earners at the end of the year will receive year end awards. More may be given depending on participation.

If you would like to donate directly to Kelsey’s cause, please email us at indiancreekracingproductions@gmail.com

Ali Blalack

One of the most special things about the barrel racing community is the support system it creates. Time and time again, when one of our own is in need, the community answers the call.

Facts - 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed in their lifetime with breast cancer and breast cancer diagnosis is rising in women under 50.

Here at ICRP, we strive to support to those in need, whatever the situation, and BC is something that will statistically affect 12.5% of us.

Join us on 10/11/2025 for the Retro Active Saturday open “pink out” and help ICRP & Ali support the fight against breast cancer.

Brooke & Harper Vancil

Christmas is a time to share with family and friends, spreading cheer and good tidings to all near and far. But some children do not have the comfort of a cozy bed, or warm food, much less the joy of gifts to open on Christmas morning.

For the third year in a row, ICRP is partnering with Operation Christmas Child to bring not only Christmas joy, but the gift of the gospel to kids all over the world. Learn more about OCC here:

https://www.samaritanspurse.org/

Brooke and Harper will be taking the lead on this project, and we will be doing a silent auction and toy donation drive at the ICRP Go Grease Lightning Show in Gordyville, IL.

All proceeds from the silent auction and donations will go to OCC.

If you would like to donate directly to Brooke & Harper’s cause, please email us at indiancreekracingproductions@gmail.com

Liv Davis

She's here, she's there, she's everywhere!

We all love the race day pictures and videos from BGY Photography - but as we know, homegirl doesn't get to leave the arena from sunup to sundown! There's a lot of action outside the arena, and this year our ambassador Liv Davis is taking on the challenge of capturing what goes on "beyond the fence."

Nicole Weigel & Brittany Dowell

I think it is safe to say - if barrel racers can agree on one thing, we all LOVE our dogs!

Big and small, man’s best friend is a staple at every race. In my opinion, one of the best things to do at a race is meet new people and get to pet their pups!

But not all dogs are so lucky to have their forever homes, and many are waiting in local shelters to find a family. Nicole and Brittany are partnering on the Hounds Race at the ICRP Four Elements held August 16th, to give these pups in waiting some relief.

Entry fee is (1) shelter item - toys, food, blankets, etc. - with three divisions - small/medium/large - and the winners of each class will walk away with some fun puppy-themed prizes. Items will be donated to local shelters

If you would like to donate directly to Nicole & Brittany’s cause, please email us at indiancreekracingproductions@gmail.com

For 2025, Lilly and Riechmann Construction are partnering to bring more to our MVP classes. For members only, at the Grit and Glam finals, Riechmann Construction will be sponsoring buckles for the Peewee 3D and Beginner average for Saturday and Sunday.
